200 housing units coming to Akoda Estate, says OSPDC Chairman

 Osun State Property Development Corporation has collaborated with a private sector with a view to increasing the housing stock in Osun state under the Public-Private Partnership Initiative in housing development.

The Chairman of the Corporation, Alhaji K.B. Adekunle disclosed this to journalists in Osogbo while given his stewardship during the ongoing year.

He said the Corporation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the private company, Collins Crown Ltd for the construction of 200 units of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom bungalows at Akoda Estate Ede. Under the MoU, Alhaji Adekunle disclosed that the corporation provided 22.221 hectares of land for the project and Osun State government provided some funds to construct earth roads with drains and culverts to the areas earmarked for the project as its contribution. He noted that the company, Collins Crown Ltd is to source for funds to build the houses. At present, according to Adekunle, the constructions of 20 houses of 3 bedrooms detached bungalows had started and were at lintel levels. On completion, he stressed that the company is to market the houses while profits will be shared as agreed under the MoU.
