Osun State House of Assembly has approved the sum of N3.58 billion as additional money for the Year 2009 Osun State budget.

The Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Hon Femi Farounbi moved the motion for the approval of the supplementary budget and was seconded by Hon Sikiru Idowu.
Farounbi told the lawmakers the reason why the house must approve the budget without delay.

He added that the approval of this money will allow government to pay some allowances which included that of teachers and some others in health, agriculture, rural development and educational sectors.

Hon Gbadebo Oyejide asked the house to approve the budget simply because of the sake of teachers in the state.
The speaker, Hon Adejare Bello after the approval of the budget thanked all the honorable members for their support and cooperation at all times.

He gave kudos to the state teachers for their support and understanding all the times towards the state development in educational sector.

He also promised that everybody in state would benefit from it.
